As a Porterville Newborn Photographer I somehow always get the most beautiful clients. Does this couple know how to make gorgeous little girls, or what? These big sisters are so enamored with their new baby, Abigail. It was sweet to see how tender and loving they are with her. I have no doubt that Abigail will always be loved and protected by her two big sisters because they are already completely attached and devoted to her.

Porterville Maternity Photographer | Miriam’s Family

I love being a Porterville Maternity Photographer when the whole family gets involved in the session. These sweet, funny, polite little girls are going to be great with their new baby sister.  They’re so thrilled to meet her and in love with her already. The way these girls look so adoringly at their parents just melted my heart. And the genuine love and affection that this couple clearly feels for each other is such a gift for their daughters. Being able to capture the emotion and excitement of this special time for their family is the coolest job ever!

Porterville Children’s Photographer | Adventures with Sofia

Being a Porterville Children’s Photographer is always an adventure because you never know what to expect. Sofia is so cheerful, smiley and has such a good temperament that when she got to the studio with her parents I thought, “this will be easy.” (I should not have said that.) We started out good. She was looking cute, we were having fun, she was smiling that big toothless smile. Then she lost her balance and bonked her head, which apparently reminded her that she woke up from her nap too soon and didn’t feel like doing a photo shoot after all. That’s when her parents and I went into full “tap dance” mode, pulling out every trick to get her to smile – or at least stop crying. I did manage to get a few happy shots between her tears, but she made me work for every one of them.  So thanks for the adventure, Sofia, but maybe next time you can go a little easier on me 😉

Porterville Newborn Photographer | Introducing Hadley Quinn

Hadley was born Sunday, April 26th at 12:50am. She’s 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches of sweet baby squish.

She’s a girl after my own heart because she loves to eat. And, of course, when you take fluids in they gotta go someplace, it’s only natural. She might hold the record for the most times peeing during a session. If she’s not the winner, then she’s definitely a contender! (hee hee) Parents usually freak when this happens, but I try to reassure them that it happens at every session. “Really no big deal. It’s just part of my job. I get peed on regularly.” Everything at the studio is either washable (and I have that great “Sanitize” cycle on my washer) or disposable. So, no worries parents. One of the number one questions parents ask is what happens if my baby pees or poops on your stuff? New parents – you have enough to worry about, I don’t want you to stress about me and my stuff.

Porterville Children’s Photographer | Spring Blossom Beauties

Springtime in the Central Valley is a glorious time of year. The hills are green, bees are busy pollinating, birds are twitterpated and the orchards are in full bloom. People come from all over the world to see the Blossom Trail in all it’s splendor. And sometimes the majesty of an orchard demands tiaras =) This was one of those times. These littles (my muses) looked right at home in their regal attire. After all, what girl doesn’t love a tutu skirt and crown jewels? It was a little chilly that morning but, like true royalty, these princesses smiled and waved to their adoring audience (me and their parents) and made it possible for me to create this delightful gallery. I’d love to hear what you think of the results.

BTW…the tutus, tiaras and all props for the photos are provided by my studio so that my clients don’t have to worry about too much. If you would like to schedule a stylized session like this one I’d love to hear your ideas and work with you to make something beautiful.
